I visited Funny Moose in 2007, and returned to work there in 2008 I loved it so much. Hard core fishing camp with awesome fishing opportunities. Basic Plywood cabins are very comfortable. Kitchen, bathroom and very nice beds. Guides are some of the best on the Kenai. Halibut fishing is in Homer or in Deep Creek. A bit of a drive but well worth it and the views of the Chugach Mt. Range and Illiamna and Redoubt Volcanoes make the trip worth the drive.
Off days can be spent on the Russian River fishing for Reds, Silvers on the Kasilof, or even Lake Trout in lakes off the Skilak Loop. Want to fly fish for Trout, Dolly Varden or Grayling? Got that too a Crescent Lake. All within 1.5 hours of the lodge.
