This is the best site as far as bass fishing goes. The members provide useful info on any and all topics, and all the regular members and staff are great guys! You could spend half a lifetime reading all the articles, and they are all worth reading. Anyone who considers themselves as a bass fisherperson should check it out.

What an AWESOME site!! I've learned a TON from the informative articles and forum there... and I've been bass fishing for 10+ years!

As far as the negative comments below - obviously from site owners who have terrible sites that are ranked accordingly. Maybe they should focus on fixing their sites than bashing the BEST fishing site on the web!! :)

OMG, what a site!! Loaded with info from awesome articles to a a huge memberbase that is happy to answer your questions. A very family friendly, respectable site. And they even have Doug Hannon answering questions!!! Wish I knew about this place a few yrs ago!

This is absolutely the best bass fishing site I've ever come across. And believe me, I've seen them all! Not only does it have the largest forum that is extremely well-run, it also has thousands of useful articles, tools, links, and information... a one-stop site that has it all!

I was once a member at this forum and it is a great place. Knowledgeable members and staff. I am now a Global Moderator on another forum and am quite upset with some of the negative replies that were sent from the site that I help moderate. Their was no need in leaving that type of feedback againts yall and I hope it doesn't happen again. Keep up the good work and ignore the negative replies.

I am a current member of the Bassholes, and Bass Resource. I enjoy both sites, although I have to admit that the resource is far larger. I prefer the other site because the bait monkey doesnt get me every time I log on LOL. Just every other. I am sorry to see Keith posting bad reviews here, as well. My name is hi steel basser at both sites.

Great site! Great people! Awesome owner with a great vision! A super moderators who keep out the riff-raff and troublemakers. Some of which you see here. Clearly not people you'd want on a family friendly site!

Aggressive moderators who know it all

This site started off looking good until their underbelly was exposed. I was once a member but was banned because I dared to have an opinion not shared by the common wealth of this site.

This site has bullies who go out of their way to make you feel lower then dirt. If you want a nice experience on their site just make sure you are a yes man and go along with the crowd and you will fit right in. If you think for yourself sooner or later you will bump heads with the ownership and you will lose.

BTW, there are some really fine fishermen and friendly people on the site. To those, what I said has nothing to do with you. However, there are some gigantic ego's and A$$hol@s who are members on that site. It is to those who I direct my opinions.

But it doesn't take a math professor to see that 1.5 times their total membership voted 13,000 votes rating 1-10, yet only 247 of them entered the site from here. It's obvious the members are doing most of the voting. If 13,000 people had stumbled onto TUBFRG as random or even invited guests, it would be a reasonable expectation for them to visit and vote on other sites along their way. But no other site has had that many votes, good or bad.

This rating system is deeply flawed. Each voter should only have one vote per site, blocked by IP address for at least 6 months. Until then it will be mostly padded voting and meaningless.

This site is horrible! it's run by nazi's who will ban you for any whim at all if they are in the wrong mood. They are dishonest. disrespectful and care about no one but themselves. There are much better bass sites out there, even if they arent as big.

I have been a member for about a year now and I can tell you that my abilites as an angler have increased TENFOLD. In addition, I have had the opportunity to meet and fish with some of the finest people I have ever met due to this site. The forums section is filled with knowledgable, friendly people that genuinely love to fish. I recommend the site to everyone interested in the pursuit of bass fishing. I visit the site every day and am happy to know so many of these people as my friends.

You won't find another site that has so many members and so little confrontatins! The atmosphere is amazing, the information is amazing, the mods are amazing. I reached 1000 posts in less than a year.

I've visited a lot of fishing sites, and this is the only one I go to every day. I only wish I'd found it sooner. The moderators do an excellent job. Many thanks, guys!!

There are a ton of articles devoted to our favorite sport. From pieces designed for beginning anglers, to in-depth coverage that seasoned fishermen can appreciate, there is something for all of us.

The site is very user friendly. Nothing is hard to find. There are times when access is a bit on the slow side, but that is a function of this site's growing popularity. There are more than 9000 registered users now, and it's growing every day.

There are many fine members, ready, willing and able to share their experience, information and advice. I feel as if I have a lot of new friends I've never met.

The site is very well administered. Abusive, insulting, racist, or any other similarly stupid comments and quickly delelted, the offending posters warned, and banned if their stupidity persists. If I still had children in the house, this is one place on the Web I'd be happy to let them hang out.

On that note, to whomever said, and I loosely quote, "they couldn't pour p%$# out of the boat, blah,blat,bleet,", if that's what you do in your boat, then you are certainly NOT welcome in mine. And you may quote me, if you wish, AS#$%ole.

While there is some good information to be had at Bass Resource, the moderation of the forums leaves a bit to be desired.

Although I gave BassResource.com a high score, I say don�t go to their website. As stated earlier, they have great informative articles, and the members bend over backwards to help others in every way possible. You just can�t help but become a better angler from the information you get there. I like being in the �10% of the anglers catch 90% of the fish� category� and I want to keep it that way� I don�t need any more anglers catching more than I do� so STAY AWAY!

Site Concerns

I visit fishhoo often and I checked out the top rated sites, however I found something very strange about this site. It was rated number 1 with over 5,000 votes, however only 108 people had visited the site. Something is wrong, is this because someone is just placing votes for the site. I have always questioned things when one thing wasn't right maybe something else is wrong. Just concerned.

No, the 108 is the number of people that have clicked on the link, not the number of people that have voted.

Read the info on fishhoo before you come to such ridiculous conclusions.

Bassresource is at the top because it lives up to its name.
