I have fished with Mike Yanak at least a dozen times at various camps until he began this one. Since starting SE Alaska Outdoor Adventures, I have been up twice (I would go every year but professional school puts a dent in your fishing time). I've fished with other guides in Alaska, New York, Texas, and Washington and I can say without a doubt that Mike is one of the best you'll ever see. He wants you to catch fish and encourages catch and release for any fish you decide to throw back. With this charter you get a long day of fishing and he knows the spots. I have limited on Kings, halibut, Ling Cod, and sea bass every day of the two, three day charters I've been on...and released at least a limit of most species on each of those days. The boats are equipped as fishing machines with a very efficient design that allows for productive fishing with minimal frustration. The gear is also top-notch and maintained even better than I keep my own. Mike and the other guides are there to make sure you enjoy your vacation and catch a lot of fish. Also, unlike many other charters, the catch is vacuum-packed, flash-frozen, and boxed for easy transport back home. My last trip took the fish by plane from Sitka to Houston, TX and everything was still hard-frozen when I unpacked it. By far, this really is the most complete charter package you will ever see.
